Letter to Alumni

Dear WMUC Alumnus:

Over the past year and a half the WMUC Alumni Association has been busy lending its expertise to the WMUC staff, orchestrating equipment donations, coordinating and participating in a major station clean-up, and establishing an alumni-student mentoring program.

In our role as the WMUC Alumni Association, we are continuously working toward furthering our mission. In late November we met to discuss what programs would best benefit WMUC and how to raise the funds necessary to carry-out these programs.

We agreed to raise funds to provide a stipend for the WMUC general manager and to pay an engineer to repair vital equipment.

Because of your experience at WMUC we are first asking you, our alumni, for financial assistance. We suggest a donation of $25, $50, or whatever feels right. (If you or your company would like information on underwriting a program, please contact me at 202/775-3510.)

Your donation is fully tax deductible. We urge you to take your donation this tax year by sending in your donation by December 31, 1995. Checks should be made out to the WMUC Alumni Association and mailed to the same, at: P.O. Box 6404 Annapolis, MD 21401.

In the coming months look for fundraising effort updates in our newsletter. And, be sure to mark your calendar now for our annual meeting and awards dinner -- Saturday evening, April 27, at UMCP. You'll soon receive more information on this special fund-raiser.
